This policy explains how North Sydney Concrete handles personal information. The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply to many businesses. Some small businesses with annual turnover of $3 million or less are exempt unless they fall into a listed category or opt in. We still follow this policy as good practice. If the Act applies to us, we treat this page as our APP 1 privacy policy.

1. Who we are

North Sydney Concrete collects personal information so we can respond to enquiries and carry out concrete cancer repair and concrete remediation. Base: 33 Cheero Point Rd, Cheero Point NSW 2083. Phone: 0422 478 035. Email: info@northsydneyconcrete.com.au.

2. What we collect

We collect what we need to quote and do the work:

  • Name and who you represent (for example strata, builder, or owner)
  • Phone number and email address
  • Site address and a description of the concrete problem
  • Photos or files you send us
  • Notes from an on-site visit
  • Invoice and payment details if a job proceeds

We do not ask for extra identity documents or payment card details on this website. We do not run advertising or analytics cookies that we control. Your browser may store ordinary session data so the site works.

3. How we collect it

We collect it from you: the contact form, quote pop-up, phone, email, or on site. If a strata manager or builder gives us your contact details so we can attend, we use those details only for that job.

4. Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

  • Answer a call, email, or form
  • Arrange an on-site visit and quote
  • Carry out agreed repair or remediation
  • Send invoices and keep job records
  • Meet legal, tax, or insurance record-keeping if that applies

We do not sell your details. We do not use your enquiry to send marketing lists. If we ever wanted to send promotional email, Australian Spam Act 2003 rules would require consent and an unsubscribe. We do not do that now.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only as needed:

  • Website hosting and email providers, so the site can run and we can reply (Yahoo Mail for our published address; the host that serves this site)
  • Our website developer, PC Scientist, if they need access to fix a form or the site
  • A strata manager, builder, or owner on the same job, if they already engaged us
  • Insurers, accountants, or lawyers if a claim or legal duty requires it
  • Police or a regulator if the law requires it

We do not publish customer names or contact details on the website. Project photos on the Projects page show work, not your personal details.

6. Overseas storage

Email and website hosting may process messages on servers in or outside Australia. We do not operate our own overseas office. If APP 8 applies, we take reasonable steps so those providers handle information consistently with this policy.

7. Holding and security

We keep enquiry and job records only as long as we need them to finish the job, answer follow-up questions, or meet record-keeping duties. We use password-protected email and limit who can see job details. No website is completely secure. Do not send sensitive financial data through the public contact form.

8. Access and correction

You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email info@northsydneyconcrete.com.au or call 0422 478 035. We will respond in a reasonable time. If we refuse access where the law allows, we will say why.

9. Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992. NSW Fair Trading (13 32 20) can help with some consumer disputes about the work itself.

10. Children

This site is for people arranging concrete repair. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top will change.
